Rectangular hollow sections (RHS) from Gram Bangla Tubes Ltd. (GBTL) are rectangular steel tubes for solar mounting, building frames and furniture in Bangladesh. Solar and construction sizes are RHS 50x100 mm in a 3.0 mm wall and RHS 60x120 mm in a 3.0 or 4.0 mm wall. Furniture sizes are RHS 20x40 mm and RHS 40x80 mm, with walls from 1.0 to 1.5 mm.
Solar and construction RHS comes GP pre-galvanized or MS black, with hot dip galvanizing on request. Furniture RHS comes cold rolled black or GP pre-galvanized and is powder coat ready. Order solar and construction RHS from 2 MT and furniture RHS from 1 MT. Custom RHS sizes need a full coil run, with a 20 MT minimum.

When should I choose RHS instead of SHS for a steel frame?
Choose RHS when a frame member bends mainly in one direction, such as a beam or rafter. Set with its deeper side upright, an RHS is stiffer in that direction than a square tube of similar weight. GBTL offers RHS 50x100 mm and RHS 60x120 mm for solar and construction frames in Bangladesh.
What rectangular tube sizes does GBTL make for furniture?
GBTL makes RHS 20x40 mm in 1.0 or 1.2 mm walls and RHS 40x80 mm in 1.2 or 1.5 mm walls for furniture. Both sizes come cold rolled black or GP pre-galvanized, ready for powder coating after standard pretreatment. The furniture minimum is 1 MT for standard sizes, mixed across sizes and thicknesses in one order.
Can RHS 60x120 be hot dip galvanized?
RHS 60x120 mm can be hot dip galvanized on request, to ISO 1461. GBTL targets 85 micron on RHS 60x120 mm and confirms the coating per wall thickness on quote. The ISO 1461 minimum mean coating is 55 micron on a 3.0 mm wall and 70 micron on a 4.0 mm wall.
