Z purlins from Gram Bangla Tubes Ltd. (GBTL) are Z shaped steel sections for roof framing and solar mounting structures in Bangladesh. The standard size is Z purlin 150x65x20 mm, in 2.0 or 2.5 mm thickness. That is a 150 mm web, two 65 mm flanges and two 20 mm lips.
You can choose GP pre-galvanized or MS black Z purlins, and hot dip galvanizing is available on request. Orders for the standard size start at 2 MT, and custom sizes need a full coil run of 20 MT. Request a quote with thickness, finish, quantity in MT and delivery district.

Are C purlins or Z purlins better for long roof runs?
Z purlins often suit long roof runs better than C purlins. Z sections can nest and overlap at each support, so the purlins work as a continuous member across several bays. C purlins suit single spans and edge members. GBTL makes Z purlin 150x65x20 mm and C purlins in 100 and 120 mm depths.
Is a 2.0 mm or 2.5 mm Z purlin right for my roof?
GBTL makes Z purlin 150x65x20 mm in both 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm thickness. The 2.5 mm Z purlin is heavier and stiffer, so it suits longer spans or higher loads. Your structural engineer should confirm the Z purlin thickness from the roof design.
Can GBTL make Z purlins in sizes other than 150x65x20?
GBTL quotes custom Z purlin sizes on a full coil run. The minimum order for a custom Z purlin size is 20 MT. Send the section dimensions, thickness and quantity for a quote. The standard Z purlin 150x65x20 mm starts at 2 MT.
Do Z purlins need galvanizing for outdoor solar structures?
Z purlins in MS black need painting or coating before outdoor use. GP pre-galvanized Z purlins carry zinc from the strip, but cut ends need protection outdoors. For heavier protection, GBTL offers hot dip galvanizing after fabrication on request, to ISO 1461. GBTL targets 85 micron on Z purlins and confirms the coating per section thickness on quote.
